Construction - Jun 26, 2010
431 W. Valencia Dr., Fullerton, CA
 | A street-eye view of the 5 homes currently being built on West Valencia in Fullerton. This is from the middle of the street, on W Valencia facing West. |
| We are in the initial phase of construction for these homes. Only 3 of the 5 homes have a complete roof. These ones face the street, W Valencia. | |
 | This is one of the two homes that doesn't have a roof on it yet. It is in the back of the lot. |
| This is the other home that does not have a complete roof. It's getting there but it has more on its roof than the home in the previous photo. | |
 | Inside the homes, it is still bare. At least, this particularly one in the picture has a completed roof. The Mendiola and the Chavez (who are the homeowners) are seen here with Rachelle and Jo (volunteers). They are engaging in a task called roof strapping, one of the primary tasks for today. |
| Inside this home, it is really bare because no roof in place. | |
 | One of the ways to bring up the roofing material is with the tool seen here. |
| Or you can do what these three amigos did, manually. Salvador (not pictured) actually carry the planks and individually hand them to both "El Bigote" (aka Pantalon) [pictured on the bottom roof] and Tony [pictured in the top roof] who diligently nail them into place. | |
 | Other volunteers lend a hand or two in roof strapping. Pictured here, having fun on the job, are Lori (smiling), Rick (on ladder), and Kelly. |
| Besides roof strapping, Dennis and Dave (seen front) are measuring for the appropriate place to install the ceiling lights while Michael and Ernest (in orange) do the same. | |
 | While in another task, Kimberly is installing a blue box to allow wiring for an outlet later. |
| David Mendiola and Olivia Chavez puts a lot of TLC in their roof strapping efforts, making sure that each nail is perfectly placed. | |
 | Chris and Noel (on right) described themselves as "twins by different mothers" are busy at work installing blue boxes to allow for wiring for future outlets just like Kimberly at the bottom floor. |
